The Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community (WACAC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working hard to bring a Center for the Arts building to Wyoming, Minnesota. Having a local center for the arts is a great way to strengthen our community, promote creative expression, and encourage personal growth and discovery. The dream is getting closer to becoming a reality thanks to a $100,000 donation from the Hallberg Family Foundation toward the purchase of Spirit & Praise Pentecostal Church.

I experienced the benefits of having a local arts center first-hand last Thursday, January 22nd, when I had the opportunity to show my work at the WACAC monthly art show entitled, "That's What Eye Saw". This show featured fine art photography and the music talent of Mary Hall. I was honored to have the images in this post awarded People's Choice and the opportunity to hang these pieces at the Nesting Grounds in Wyoming.

Thank you to the WACAC and everyone involved with the show, as well as to the other photographers; they made me feel welcome and helped make my first show a success.
