Welcome to Buffalo Plaid Studio...my creative outlet for photography. This outlet gives me the opportunity to share my work, pursue my dream, and celebrate the beauty of Minnesota.

Not to age myself, but it all started with a Canon AE-1 Program 35mm FILM camera and my cousin Holly’s knack for picture taking that drew me to photography. I learned the fundamentals of my craft in high school thanks to “Bud”, a very special art teacher who challenged me to pick-up a camera whenever possible. In college, I worked in the photo lab of a camera shop and did some "hard-time" as a commercial portrait studio photographer. Today, when I'm not working my 9 to 5, you can find me outdoors photographing nature, wildlife, and landscapes.

Minnesota is a great place to call home and I absolutely love all the outdoor pursuits that go along with the changing seasons. My photography reflects my passion for the outdoors. For me, photography is about exploring nature and capturing images that revive my sense of adventure...images that become treasured keepsakes of a life well spent.
